The European Union and Australia struck a long-awaited free-trade deal on March 24, while also agreeing to boost defence cooperation and access to crucial rare-earth minerals in the face of global uncertainty over trade. It’s the latest Brussels has agreed to, to diversify trade. But the deal was slammed by EU farmers, who have called ‘unacceptable’. FRANCE 24’s Dave Keating has more from Brussels.
