As war shakes their home country, Iranians of the diaspora in Paris have raised their voices, calling for peace, solidarity and a sustainable transition from autocracy.
We hear first from Sepideh Farsi, the filmmaker behind the award-winning documentary “Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk”. She is bringing together French and Iranian artists to pay tribute to the tens of thousands of people who were killed in the recent crackdown on protests in Iran, as well as those who have lost their lives in the US-Israeli bombings.
Visual artist Yosra Mojtahedi tells us about how art provides a vital space for expression, and how the violence and repression has informed some of the recent work she has made.
Meanwhile, author and translator Sorour Kasmaï reflects upon the next steps for the Iranian people, as she looks beyond the bombings of recent days.
